Reports and serial comparison

Retain the measurements required to compare serial hoof studies.

DigiHoof stores reviewed measurements with their horse, limb, projection, examination date, units, calibration, and method information. Reports and comparisons use that structured study record.

Measurement record Value, unit, limb, view, date, method
Comparison Matched studies and numerical change
Communication PDF, download, or controlled link

Serial comparison

Match the horse, foot, projection, and measurement method.

DigiHoof can display prior and current values and calculate the numerical change. The veterinarian determines whether differences reflect a clinical change or variation in image acquisition, positioning, calibration, or landmark placement.

Example comparison Left fore · lateromedial
Illustrative values
Sole depth 14.7 mm 15.5 mm +0.8 mm
Palmar angle 3.1° 2.6° −0.5°
LLZmid:PCL 9.8% 10.3% +0.5

Retained study data

Structured measurements remain searchable.

  • Horse, limb, projection, and examination date
  • Measurement name, value, and unit
  • Calibration and scale information
  • Workflow, model, and method version
  • Veterinarian-confirmed landmark geometry
  • Small flattened preview when available

Comparison requirements

Technique still determines comparability.

  • Use the same anatomical projection
  • Review positioning and beam alignment
  • Confirm calibration on each study
  • Use equivalent landmark definitions
  • Review method or model-version changes
  • Interpret differences with the clinical record

Clinical reports

Select what appears in the final report.

Report options allow the veterinarian to include reviewed radiographs, annotations, measurement tables, selected clinical photographs, and comparison summaries where available.

Study identification

Horse, owner or clinic context, examination date, limb, and projection.

Reviewed images

Selected radiographs, overlays, annotations, and clinical photographs.

Numerical outputs

Selected values, units, ratios, and comparison deltas.

Method context

Measurement workflow and version information retained with the result.

Image-bearing share

Temporary access to the selected report package

A share link can include selected images, annotations, measurements, and the report. The link is time-limited and can be revoked. Anyone with the link may be able to view the package until expiry or revocation.

Measurement-only share

Structured results without source images

After image-bearing files expire, the veterinarian can create a new measurement-only link from retained results. It contains no DICOM, clinical photograph, retained preview, or PDF.

File retention

Measurement history and source files follow different schedules.

Source radiographs, photographs, PDFs, and image-bearing shares are time-limited. Structured measurement history remains while the clinic account is active, subject to the published policy and deletion requests.
