Terms of Service

Effective date: July 29, 2026. DigiHoof is operated by DigiScan LLC, a company organized under the laws of the United States.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DigiHoof, you agree to these Terms of Service and any policies referenced here. If you use DigiHoof on behalf of a clinic, practice, company, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. The DigiHoof Service

DigiHoof provides hoof radiograph reporting, measurement, workflow, collaboration, and sharing tools for veterinary and farrier use. DigiHoof may include automated image processing, artificial intelligence, measurement assistance, report generation, mobile sharing, and related support services.

Self-service accounts are limited to licensed veterinarians. By creating an account, you attest that you are a licensed veterinarian and will use DigiHoof within your professional scope. DigiScan LLC may request reasonable verification and may suspend an account if the attestation is false or cannot be verified.

3. Professional Responsibility

DigiHoof is a professional workflow and reporting tool. It is not a substitute for veterinary judgment, radiology interpretation, farrier judgment, clinical examination, calibration review, or direct patient care. All diagnoses, treatment decisions, trimming decisions, shoeing decisions, and client communications remain the responsibility of the licensed veterinarian, qualified farrier, clinic, and other professionals involved in the case. You are responsible for reviewing all images, measurements, landmarks, labels, calculations, reports, and outputs before relying on or sharing them.

4. Clinic Data, Ownership, and Limited License

As between you and DigiScan LLC, you retain ownership of radiographs, DICOM files, photographs, case information, client information, patient information, annotations, reports, and other materials you upload to or generate through DigiHoof ("Clinic Data"). You grant DigiScan LLC a limited license to host, store, copy, process, display, transform, analyze, transmit, and otherwise use Clinic Data only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, support, improve, and develop DigiHoof and related services, and as otherwise described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

5. Internal Review, Research, and Product Improvement

DigiHoof may evaluate uploaded images, associated metadata, annotations, reports, workflow events, support communications, and clinic interactions for internal purposes such as troubleshooting, customer support, quality assurance, security, model evaluation, measurement validation, product development, internal research, and improving clinical workflow features. We do not sell Clinic Data. We do not publish, distribute, or disclose identifiable studies to the public, other clinics, marketing audiences, or unrelated third parties without your permission, except where required by law, necessary to protect the service, or necessary for organizations acting on our behalf under confidentiality or data-protection obligations. Where reasonably practical for internal research and improvement, DigiHoof will use de-identified, pseudonymized, aggregated, or minimized data rather than directly identifiable clinic or client data.

6. User Responsibilities and Permissions

You are responsible for ensuring that you have all rights, permissions, client authorizations, and legal authority required to upload, process, store, and share Clinic Data through DigiHoof. You are responsible for complying with laws, regulations, professional rules, record-retention obligations, and confidentiality duties that apply to veterinary medical records and client communications in your jurisdiction. You must not upload human medical images or human protected health information to DigiHoof.

7. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, controlling account access, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access. Actions taken through your account may be treated as authorized by you or your clinic unless you have notified us of compromise and we have had a reasonable opportunity to act.

8. Sharing and Mobile Links

DigiHoof may allow you to share reports, images, or links with clients, farriers, or other collaborators. You are responsible for deciding who receives shared materials and for confirming that sharing is appropriate. Recipients may save, screenshot, print, forward, or otherwise use materials after you share them, and DigiHoof cannot fully control recipient behavior outside the platform.

Image-bearing share links contain packaged copies of the selected images and report and expire no later than the applicable report-retention deadline. An expired or revoked image-bearing link no longer serves its images or PDF. A veterinarian may create a separate measurement-only link from retained structured measurements; that link contains no clinical image or PDF. Links are not a substitute for exporting a required medical record.

9. Payments, Subscriptions, and Billing

The standard Hoof Balance workflow may be offered without a subscription. Lamellar Lucent Zone (LLZ) analysis is a paid feature billed at the price displayed at checkout, currently $15 per month. Paid subscriptions recur until canceled and are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly agreed by DigiScan LLC. You are responsible for maintaining accurate billing information and may cancel future billing through DigiHoof or by contacting us.

10. File Retention and Clinic Record Duties

DigiHoof is not a PACS, DICOM archive, practice-management system, or system of record. Free study source files and reports may be deleted after 24 hours. Paid-study DICOM radiographs and photographs may be deleted after 30 days, and PDFs and image-bearing share packages may be deleted after 90 days. Measurement history and small flattened previews, with annotations when available, may remain while the clinic account remains active. You are responsible for downloading and retaining every image, report, and record required by law, professional rules, clinic policy, or patient care before its countdown reaches zero. Deleted source images cannot be re-windowed, reprocessed, or re-analyzed.

11. Acceptable Use

You may not use DigiHoof to violate law, infringe rights, upload malicious code, interfere with service operation, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer the platform, bypass security controls, disrupt service operation, or use the service in a way that could harm DigiScan LLC, other users, patients, clients, or third parties.

12. Intellectual Property

DigiHoof software, designs, workflows, models, templates, user interfaces, documentation, trademarks, and related technology are owned by DigiScan LLC or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of DigiHoof technology to you. You may use DigiHoof only as permitted by these Terms and your subscription.

13. Organizations Acting on Our Behalf

Organizations acting on our behalf may process limited data only when needed to operate DigiHoof, subject to applicable contractual, confidentiality, security, and data-protection obligations.

14. Availability, Changes, and Suspension

We strive to keep DigiHoof available and reliable, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. We may update, modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue features as needed for maintenance, security, legal compliance, product improvement, or business reasons. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe an account violates these Terms, creates risk, or threatens service integrity.

15. Disclaimers

DigiHoof is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, DigiScan LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, error-free operation, measurement accuracy, diagnostic accuracy, or that any output will meet clinical, regulatory, or business requirements.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DigiScan LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, clinical outcomes, treatment decisions, farrier decisions, or third-party actions arising from or related to DigiHoof. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DigiScan LLC's total liability for all claims relating to DigiHoof will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid to DigiScan LLC for DigiHoof during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or one hundred dollars.

17. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DigiScan LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of DigiHoof, your Clinic Data, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law or professional obligations, or your sharing or use of reports and outputs.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local law requires otherwise.

19. Updates and Contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page, and continued use of DigiHoof after an update means you accept the updated Terms. For questions, contact us at ali@trydigihoof.com or visit our support page.
